Our mission

Unite national school chess associations and support the global integration of chess into school curriculum, so a broader range of children could have access to chess as an academic tool
With the support of FIDE, a global leader with vast experience and a team of professionals,we aim to promote chess among schoolchildren. We will nurture youngtalent and make chess more accessible, contributing to education and personal growth
We aim to provide resources and expertise to help countries build sustainable school chess programs, enriching students’ education through chess, so they could benefit from it for their academic and personal growth
Timur Turlov, President of the Kazakhstan Chess Federation (KazChess), has been appointed head of the newly established International School Chess Federation (ISCF), which will operate as a subsidiary of the International Chess Federation (FIDE) and will host the World School Team Chess Championship in 2025.

The initiative to create the ISCF was presented at the FIDE General Assembly in Budapest during the 45th FIDE Chess Olympiad, held from September 10 to 22.
