ISCF Announces Two Master Classes for Participants of the FIDE World U9–U17 Rapid & Blitz Championships 2025

The International School Chess Federation (ISCF) is pleased to announce two master classes organized as our own educational initiative to support young participants of the FIDE World U9–U17 Rapid & Blitz Championships 2025. These events aim to enrich the championship experience by offering players, coaches, and parents deep, practical insights into modern chess training and long-term player development. Each session will be held from 15:30 to 17:00.

Master Class with GM Rustam Kasimdzhanov — Online Format

On 17 December, GM Rustam Kasimdzhanov, FIDE World Champion 2004 and one of the most accomplished trainers of the modern era, will conduct his session online. Although the lecture will be delivered remotely, participants are required to attend the master class in person at the event location, where the session will be streamed and accompanied by coordinated on-site activities.

Kasimdzhanov has served as second to Viswanathan Anand in three World Championship matches, worked with Fabiano Caruana during multiple Candidates cycles and the 2018 World Championship match, coached national teams including Germany (European Team Champion 2011), and in 2025 was appointed head coach of the Uzbekistan men’s national team.
His experience working with elite players provides young talents with a unique opportunity to learn proven methods for achieving consistent improvement.
