FIDE World Cadet Championships 2025 officially opened in Almaty

Today, Almaty welcomed young chess talents from 88 countries as the FIDE World Cadet Championships 2025 officially began. The tournament brings together the brightest rising stars of chess, ready to compete for world titles and create unforgettable memories.

The International School Chess Federation (ISCF), together with the Kazakhstan Chess Federation (KCF), is proud to play a key role in supporting this event. Under the leadership of Timur Turlov, President of both federations, we are not only investing in children’s futures but also creating opportunities for players to learn and grow beyond the board.

As part of the Championships, the ISCF is organizing a series of masterclasses and educational activities aimed at helping young talents develop their skills, build their personal brand, and gain tools that will serve them throughout their careers.

The ISCF delegation has already arrived and is actively preparing for the upcoming days full of games, records, and brilliant victories. Together, we are shaping the next generation of champions.
