Two Weeks Left to Apply for Stage 1 of the Chess in Education Grant ProgramThere are only
two weeks remaining to submit applications for
Stage 1 of the Chess in Education Grant Program, launched as part of the
Year of Chess in Education 2026 initiative.
The program is aimed at organizations and institutions that have already implemented a successful
pilot Chess in Education project and demonstrated measurable educational impact. Through this initiative, ISCF supports the expansion of proven programs, helping them reach more schools, students and communities around the world.
Who Can ApplyApplications are open to:
- Schools (public and private)
- Educational organizations and NGOs
- Foundations and social enterprises
Eligible applicants must already be implementing a chess-based educational program in school settings for at least one academic year.
Program StructureThe competition will be conducted in two stages:
- Stage 1: Open call and initial selection
- Stage 2: Detailed project evaluation
At the conclusion, three projects will be awarded grant funding and recognized at the Grand Final Tournament.
